Spiritual Warfare for Your Family

Spiritual Warfare is a topic I grew up hearing about but didn't fully understand what it was or what it meant. When I was offered the opportunity to review this book I jumped at the chance. I was eager to learn more about what spiritual warfare was and what all it entailed.

In Spiritual Warfare for Your Family, Leighann Mccoy offers sound advice on what spiritual warfare is and how to fight it. She addresses topics such as "Did God create the devil" to "Financial Stress and Debt". She not only offers insight into each topic, but she includes a powerful prayer for you to pray on each topic, as well as scripture to back up her stance.

Also included in each chapter are questions to consider. I believe these are intended to help you go deeper and shouldn't be skipped. You don't have to write the answers down, but you should carefully and prayerfully consider each one. You may discover something about yourself or your struggle that you didn't recognize before.

This book was designed to be a tool to help you in your spiritual journey. I don't believe it was meant to be read in one sitting, nor do I believe it was meant to be read and left on a shelf. It is full of practical advice and scriptures that you will want to return to, again and again, as life gets tough and the battle rages on.

I was really impressed with this book and how thorough the author was in her research to help us understand what spiritual warfare is and how we can successfully fight. The only complaints I have are, I'm not super crazy about the cover and I wish she would have included something about disabilities under her section of "Common Issues Families Are Facing And What You Can Do About Them". Overall I was extremely pleased and definitely recommend this book to those who want to learn more on this topic.
