Your Dream. God's Plan

Your Dream. God's Plan is a unique book. Not only is it Tiffany Smiling telling you about her life and the challenges she has overcome, but it's a call to action. What happens when all your plans get interrupted? Maybe it's a divine appointment to meet God where he's at and where he's working!

I admit I wasn't sure what to expect when the opportunity arose for me to be able to review this book. I wanted to because the cover is pretty and the title caught my attention, but I didn't really know much about it. Once I sat down and began reading I instantly knew this book was written for me, and people like me. I don't normally write in books, I do if it's a bible study but I never highlight and underline in a regular book. As I said before, this is no ordinary book, at least one page in every chapter I underlined or highlighted something.

I love how vulnerable Tiffany is through her story. She shares the good, the bad, the really bad and the downright ugly. She shares her struggles and how God used her brokenness to draw her closer to him. While she was pursuing a relationship with him, he revealed his plan for her step by step. This isn't a step by step formula for you to fix your life or find your purpose but a guide. It's a challenge for us to open our eyes and our hearts to hear God's calling and to follow. No matter where it might be or what it might cost.

Truthfully, Tiffany's story isn't much different from stories you've heard all your life. We've all struggled and had broken dreams but the difference, however, is how she chose to respond. She never let a challenge stop her from pursuing God and his dreams for her and his people. She shares her humor and insight in a down to earth way that even teens can enjoy and relate to. You feel like you are sitting down to coffee with a friend catching up on old times and you might find parts of her story mirror you own.

This book is a rare gem and I hope you will give it a try.

* I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
