Live Fearless

Live Fearless is Margaret Feinberg's third coloring book. She is also the author of Live Loved and Live Free. Her coloring books combine scripture memorization, prayer journaling and coloring all in one fun book! The pictures are absolutely beautiful and each has a scripture that was hand picked to deal with the theme of the book. For example, if the theme is Live Fearless the scriptures will deal with trusting in the Lord and not giving in to fear.

I love all of the beautiful pictures in this coloring book. They make you want to color. I had a hard time choosing just one to start with but I finally made my decision and got down to coloring. You can use the media of your choice. In fact, in the intro part of the book Margaret encourages you to let creativity fly and not worry about staying in the lines. The pages are thicker than most coloring pages to allow for markers or paint. I'm not that coordinated to try paint so I stuck with my trusty ole colored pencils.

The fact that the verse is included into the picture makes it easier for me to memorize it. I repeat it often as I'm coloring flowers or borders or whatever. There is also a space on the previous page for you to journal you thoughts or whatever comes to mind. The pages are not perforated for you to tear out but I believe you could if you wanted. They would make beautiful wall art, but I'm going to leave mine so that the pictures and the journaling notes will stay together.

It takes me several days to finish a picture. I don't believe they were designed to be completed in one sitting because there is so much detail, but you definitely could if you wanted. I have three children running around, so anytime I can snag 10 minutes or more, I try to use them coloring and journaling.

Anyone, no matter their artistic talent, can enjoy this book. I don't normally like adult coloring books because the designs are too intricate or they make me dizzy. The designs in this book aren't like that. They do vary in degree of difficulty, in my opinion, but they never fill every blank space on the page. I didn't feel anxiety while coloring in this book as I have in some others, worrying that I'm going to mess up.

I loved everything about the book cover to cover. From the intro to the very last scripture coloring page. I think they would make an excellent gift. In fact my mom may get all three for her birthday. Sshh!
